Hi Everyone!
We meet this coming Sunday, October 25 and Wednesday, October 28, 2026, as we do every Sunday and Wednesday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. through to closing time at our regular Starbucks venue in the Clayton Shopping Center! Players of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to masters, are welcome to come and go anytime; there are no dues; and, there usually is a chess puzzle to solve, with the first player solving it on his or her first try winning a free tall Starbucks drink of choice!
Over the last two sessions, as we do virtually every session, we welcomed players new to the club. It was our pleasure to meet Cece and Romeo, as it was meeting Motaz and Mathias! We also enjoy having several kids at each session, and it's quite nice to see some of the more experienced adults and older kids helping the younger beginners get their games up!
Stay tuned for news or details regarding our next club tournament. In the meantime, do drop in for the fun and challenge of chess over the boards, and for the likelihood of making new friends and perhaps even renewing old friendships! See you soon!Contra Costa Chess Club
