CHESS this Wednesday, Dec 12 at Starbucks!

Hi Everyone . . . !

Lots of chess over the boards this Wednesday, December 12, 2018, from 4:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., at Starbucks, located at 1536 Kirker Pass Rd., Clayton, California.  Come by anytime, the earlier the better for the better tables, more matches, and some really nice, interesting people!

Last Wednesday saw several chess players and other players try their hand at Chess and Chronology . . . on hand for the chilly evening's fun and challenges were Ronald, Andrew, Mark, Tony T., Mike T., Ann, Chris Th., June, and Mike T. . . .

. . . . and this coming Sunday, December 16, there's our usual 3rd-Sunday-of-the-month session at the Panera Bread Restaurant, from 2pm - 530pm.  For those interested in playing in a USCF-rated Quad there that day, please contact me for specifics.

CHESS & Games Wednesday Dec. 5th at Starbucks!

Hi Everyone . . . !

There's lots more chess over the boards this Wednesday, December 5, 2018, from 4:30 pm - 9:00 pm, at Starbucks, located at 1536 Kirker Pass Rd., Clayton, Calif.  Come by anytime, earlier the better for the better tables, more matches, and some really nice company!

Speaking of nice company, at least 17 players of all ages and skill levels, from novice to masters, were in good spirits last week . . . on hand for the fun were new players Mark, Ivan, Katy, and Jackson, with Bob C., Justin, Jonathan, Rich K., Ronald, Andrew, Chris Th., Mike T., Chris B., Tony T., David, Ann, John S., and Greg . . . ! 

 

While we meet every Wednesday evening, this month's session at the Panera Bread Restaurant, corner or Bancroft Rd. and Treat Blvd. in Walnut Creek, will be on Sunday, December 16, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. - 5:30 pm.  Stay tuned, as it is possible that we could have USCF-rated matches that same day, venue to be determined.  Expect 3 Rds., G/45;d5 with EF = $20 if held at Panera.
