Hi Everyone,
We meet as usual this Sunday, November 1st and Wednesday, Nov. 4th at our regular Starbucks venue from 3:00 p.m. through to closing time in the Clayton Shopping Center! We welcome players of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to masters and all in between, to come and go anytime to enjoy the fun and challenge of chess over the boards. There are no dues, and there usually is a chess puzzle to solve, with the player solving it on his or her first try winning a free tall Starbucks drink of choice!
Our Next Club Tournament News:
Our next club USCF-rated tournament has been tentatively scheduled for Sunday, November 22, 2026, subject to confirmation as to how many players will be participating in it. All players must be current members of the USCF. Format will be Groups of 6 or more players; 4 rounds; Swiss Pairing System. Time Control G/30;d5. Entry Fee: $30. First round starts at 11:00 a.m. Location or venue will be the Carl's Jr. Restaurant located just across the side parking lot from our usual Starbucks location.
We're always welcoming players new to the club. Last Wednesday we welcomed Marty! See you soon, and don't be surprised if you'll be making new friends and perhaps even renewing old friendships!
