Hi Everyone . . . !
As usual this Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, from 5pm - 9pm at Starbucks, located at 1536 Kirker Pass Rd., Clayton, Calif., enjoy chess over the boards! Come by anytime, the earlier the better for the better tables, more matches, and some really nice company!
Last week we welcomed Nessar, his daughter Marian, and grandkids Sammy and Aaron! On hand to welcome them were Mike T., Chris Th., Tony T., Justin, John B., Art S., Bob C., Jonathan, and Ann S.
This month starts our 14th year as an Affiliate Club of the US Chess Federation (USCF). Our club dues are entirely voluntary. Any player who gives $5 or more also receives a $5 discount on any entry fee for any rated games or tournaments that the club establishes and directs through January of the following year.
Also this month, as we do on every 3rd Sunday of every month, we have a session on Sunday, February 17, 2019, from 2pm -5:30pm, at the Panera Bread Restaurant, located at the corner of Bancroft Rd. and Treat Blvd, in Walnut Creek!
So then, come by, enjoy the game, enjoy old friendships, and make new ones!
