Hi Everyone . . . !
Play fun, challenging chess over the boards this Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at Starbucks, located at 1536 Kirker Pass Rd., Clayton, Calif., from 5pm - 9pm, and you can come by anytime, earlier the better for the better tables, more matches, and some really interesting and nice company! We welcome all players of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to masters!
We have been welcoming some new players to the club, such Diego and Shams lately, and certainly have welcomed back returning players (like Max!, Jim!) during our last week's session!
. . . and did you all get to see the cover of the latest Chess Life Magazine? That's young Christopher Yoo on the cover, the newest and latest and youngest International Master! IM Yoo graced our tables several times a few years ago, and even wow'ed us with a simul held at Carl'sJr. Restaurant, winning every game except one, which ended in a draw, wow then, and now a bigger wow now as an IM !! Oh, and he's now 12 years old, so look out, chess world!
Hmmm, if he and his Dad lets us know in advance, we'll celebrate his success with him when he comes by to join us for an early evening!
