Hi Everyone . . . !There's lots of fun, challenging chess over the boards again at our usual Wednesday evening venue, Starbucks, located at 1536 Kirker Pass Rd., Clayton, Calif., from 5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Come by anytime, the earlier the better for the best tables, more games, and some really nice company!
Last week's session saw another fun chess crowd, featuring the return of Dmitri and Liliana and Kitty along with Bob C., Priya, Jonathan, Tony T., Chris B., Chris Th., Mike T., Rich K., and even a couple of young kids tried their hand at the grand old game. A memorable highlight of the evening came around closing time, with Tony T. winning a game against chess master Rich K., with a position that was checkmate in two moves!! Of course, Tony will be subject to an interview and possible replay of the game, with Rich possibly explaining how the heck his king got trapped!
