Hi Everyone . . . !
There's lots of chess this
Wednesday evening, June 22, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at
Starbucks, located at 1536 Kirker Pass Rd., Clayton, Calif., come by
anytime, the earlier the better fr the best tables, more games, and some
really fun, interesting company!
There were as many as 9 players
that came by for chess this past Sunday afternoon at Panera Bread Restaurant,
and we welcomed John C., a new player who is also looking to establish a
regular meeting venue for our club on another day within Walnut
Creek. We may know more about that in the weeks ahead . . . On hand
to welcome John were Jackie, Chris T., Bill K., Bob C., Sevien, Ronald C., Mike
T., and Tony T. Considering it was Father's Day and the afternoon/early
evening for Game 7 of the NBA Finals between the Warriors and the Cavaliers,
the turnout was actually better than expected!
Also ahead sometime in the
summer, yet to be scheduled as to when and where, another simul exhibition
featuring chess master Ronald Cusi . . . !
